The Holy Trinity School Board, an advisory board to the principal and pastor, consists of a membership of school parents and parishioners at-large who help formulate and support policies of the school. The pastor and the principal are ex-officio members. Board meetings are generally held on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Parents of school children and all parishioners are encouraged to attend.

Emily Hays Pic 2.pngEmily Hays - President
Emily joined the school board in 2019.  She and her husband live in Downers Grove and have two children that attend Holy Trinity.  Emily has a Bachelors degree in microbiology from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana)  She has worked at Midwestern University since 2006 doing research in cancer-related fields.


Heather Charles
Heather joined the School Board in August of 2017. She and her husband, Lawrence, live in Woodridge and have been parishioners of Holy Trinity since 2009. Heather graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's in Animal Science, and currently works as a Veterinary Technician at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Heather and Lawrence have three sons, Christopher (HT Class of 2020), Ryan (HT Class of 2023) and Brandon (future HT Tiger).


Robert J. DeSagun
‘Jon’ became a School Board member in August of 2018. He and his wife Jovy have 3 children at Holy Trinity – Dylan, Ryan, and Anna. Jon has a graduate degree from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s from Loyola University Chicago. He has over 10 years in healthcare analysis.


Mike Gavin
Mike joined the School Board in August of 2018. Mike and his wife Stacy live in Downers Grove and he is the Managing Partner of the New York Life Greater Chicago General Office. Multiple moves over the last 12 years led them to the Chicago area, although Mike was born in Chicago most of their lives they lived in the Phoenix area. They have three grown children, two grand-children with a third on the way.


Samantha Jones-Matocha
Samantha is a nearly life-long parishioner of Holy Trinity and joined the School Board in August of 2018. She is an award-winning Realtor®, one half of the Homes By Jones team with her mother at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Before transitioning to real estate full-time, she worked at CBS 2 News in Chicago as a field producer and news desk associate. From there, Sam became an on-air television news reporter and anchor at an ABC News Station, covering Southern Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky. Sam is a graduate of Holy Trinity and Benet Academy. She currently lives in Clarendon Hills with her husband, Chris, son Christopher and fur-baby, Randy.

 Paul holds an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Northwestern University. As the Principal and founder of   Turnkeough Wealth Management, Inc., Paul supervises all activities of turnkeough.com. Paul   has been recognized for his dedication to clients and featured in the media, most notably on NBC after Lestor Holt "Turnkey to Your Retirement," in EWTN’s "Journey Home" show, Dan Cheely’s "Relevant Radio" show and various podcasts. Paul is a happily married husband and father of six children. He and his family live in Westmont. In his free time, Paul enjoys playing chess and stays active by biking, swimming, basketball and tennis.

'JC' joined the School Board in May of 2021.  He and his wife Katarzyna have two sons, Jasiu (HT Class of 2028) and Adi (future HT Tiger).  JC graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a Bachelor’s in Political Science.  JC has worked at S&P Global since 2010 and has over 10 years of experience in Public and Structured finance analysis.
